- Place the eggs in a saucepan in a single layer and add enough water to cover by about an inch.
- Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once boiling lower the heat to a gently simmer and put the timer on for 12 minutes for large eggs.
- When the timer goes off immediately drain the eggs and run cold water over them to cool them quickly.
I always have hard boiled eggs in the fridge for a snack or to add to my salad for lunch or dinner.
