I buy larger quantities of dry spices and mix my own seasoning mixes. This works well for me because I can limit the number of spices that I buy and then make specific mixes that I use. I control the amount of salt in fact none of my mixes have salt in them so I add salt at the end in the dish as needed.
I recommend a nice little book "Herb Mixtures & Spicy Blends" by Maggie Oster. You can get it on line, it's a good book of mixes that I'm sure will help you in your everyday meals. This recipe comes from this book and I always have a small jar in the panty and use it daily.
